ARMOR UPGRADE - FOAM URETHANE
USE THIS OPTION TO UPGRADE YOUR ARMOR (ON THE SAME ORDER).
See the video for a demonstration. Foam Urethane (FO/UR) is a hand-applied self-skinning urethane product known as “Tuff Stuff”. It is significantly lighter, more durable than regular urethane rubber armor. Can be bonded to your undersuit using CA Gel glue, Urebond II adhesive, or any liquid urethane (such as Smooth-On brand “Brush On 40").
It is hand-layered into the mold behind a urethane skin (which ensures a smooth and even outer surface), and is reinforced with ‘Power Mesh” spandex fabric in vital areas such as armpits, crotch and notched edges (such as top of glues on the MK/89 leg armor) to help prevent tearing.
FO/UR is a spectacular material for any costume that needs to hold up to wear and tear for conventions, parades, fan events and more. See the photos of the Grey BTAS-inspired suit. The FO/UR holds its shape insanely well, preventing that “flat” look of other armors.
